Pull! Few things can compare to the feeling of watching a clay target flying through the air to be broken by a well-placed shot. The shotgun discipline helps develop hand-eye coordination.
The shotgun discipline consists initially of trap shooting on the county and regional level. Youth of 4-H age, grade 4 as of January 1 of the current year, may participate in this discipline. Senior age 4-H members (grade 8-12 as of Jan. 1 of current year) who qualify for the annual state invitational will see three different courses of fire. Those courses of fire are: trap, skeet, 5 stand (sporting clays).
Our team also participates in the Amateur Trapshooting Association AIM youth program and the Smoky Mountain Trap Series.
