Animals & Livestock
Extension faculty server the agricultural industry of Tennessee by providing educational programs on the expert care and efficient production and management of animals. Please contact your county UT Extension office to learn more about what Extension animal and livestock programs are available in your area.
Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) Training
Designed to qualify producers for TN Ag Enhancement Cost Share Funds. Discusses proper treatment of animals, giving vaccines correctly and other beef quality topics. Training is free – Original certification which lasts three years costs $40 for non TN Cattlemen’s Association (TCA) members and $20 for TCA members. Recertification is the same price. Free options are also available and accepted by the TAEP cost share program. Both in person and on line/virtual options are available.
