Wild Child Day Camp

Wild Child Day Camp is a 3 day summer day camp through the University of Tennessee Extension in conjunction with the TN Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA). The camp provides youth with hands on educational activities to actively engage them in learning but also provides fun adventures, recreational activities and fosters new friendships. Campers are well-supervised by the 4-H agent, TWRA officers, adult and youth volunteers. Camp hours are 7:45 am-4:30 pm.

Day 1 – Water safety with canoes and kayaks, creek crawl, wildlife.

Day 2 – Shooting sports with shotgun, archery, rifle and muzzleloading.

Day 3 – Fishing with catch, clean, cook lunch and a tour of a fish hatchery.

When: June 3-5, 2025

Junior 4-H Camp

Junior Camp is a 5 day, 4 night summer camp at Clyde Austin 4-H Center in Greeneville, TN. The camp provides youth with hands on educational activities to actively engage them in learning but also provides fun adventures, recreational activities and fosters new friendships. See some of the fun activities in this video.

Campers have tons of things to do. The camp features an Olympic sized pool with a 130 foot long waterslide, a wildlife center, a large recreation hall, ball fields, a basketball court, and shooting and archery ranges. Other facilities include a nature center, a woodworking shop, and an airbrush shop. Campers can also fish, canoe, or enjoy a kayak ride on the lake. Other activities include a low ropes course, leather crafts, and a fossil class. An outdoor theater, known as the Friendship Circle, is the backdrop for campfires and vespers. A concessions area offers refreshing snack items. Campers eat home cooked meals and stay in modern, air-conditioned dormitories with attached, clean bath facilities.

Campers are supervised by the 4-H agent, camp counselors, parent volunteers and residential camp staff. The camp is accredited by the American Camping Association.

Target Smart Camp

4-H Target Smart Camp is a program of Tennessee 4-H Shooting Sports. It is for youth who are enrolled in grades five through nine. At camp youth learn appropriate skills to succeed in a variety of shooting sports and related areas such as archery, riflery, shotgun use, muzzleloading, and outdoor skills. Programs emphasize safety, correct form, and responsible use. See some activities in this video.

Junior High 4-H Camp

This is 4-H Survivor Junior High Camp, an exciting camp experience for campers who have completed 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. All campers are placed into one of four tribes, Onvee, Bula Bula, Gaholi, or Rumbra. Throughout the week, campers will complete in Tribal Challenges and earn points for their team. The week kicks off with the Amazing Race, a thrilling challenge where tribes complete in different events and race from one end of the camp to the other. Watch the video!

Every day there are more Tribal Challenges. From archery to fishing, kickball to a derby car race, there are challenges for everyone. At the end of the week, all the point are added up and one tribe is declared the Ultimate 4-H Camp Survivors. 

This camp isn’t just about competition. There are different, fun activities going on every day of 4-H Survivor Junior High Camp. There are offsite adventures like hiking, canoeing, or a historical tour. There is a day of service, where campers give back to support people from around the world. There are fun and engaging classes like extreme fishing, snorkeling, or cooking with fire and iron. 

No matter what, 4-H Survivor Junior High Camp is an experience campers will remember for a lifetime!

Fashion & Design Conference

The Eastern Region 4-H Fashion & Design Conference is a three-day, two-night event for youth in grades six through twelve to learn about fashion, create new project meet new friends and become models.

Activities include a sewing project, arts and crafts activities, service project, shopping and a fashion show.

4-H Fashion & Design Conference Information

4-H Quilt Camp

Quilt camp is a unique camp designed to teach and inspire youth through quilting to learn about the Roots of the Appalachian Region. It is a 4-day, 3-night camp at Clyde Austin 4-H Center Lodge in Greeneville, TN.

Youth will learn quilting techniques and complete a lap quilt to take home. They will learn how to select fabrics, patterns & quilt design. And will get to talk to quilt experts and see examples of their quilts.

Who: 6th-12th grade

Youth must be an experienced sewer able to use a sewing machine independently.

When: June 24-26, 2025

4-H Quilt Camp Information

4-H Electric Camp

4-H Electric Camp is a fun-filled, rewarding adventure in electricity. You will explore the world of energy, electricity, energy conservation, electrical safety, and other basic sciences in fun-filled, “hands-on” learning activities.

You will work with electrical specialists from across the state in learning centers. Each learning center will consist of hands-on activities to learn by doing. You will also have the chance to meet other 4-H’ers from across Tennessee and explore careers in energy, electricity, and basic sciences. It’s an electrifying experience!

Academic Conference

As a participant, you will be involved in educational programming on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville (UTK). Delegates will receive extensive, hands-on training in project areas under the supervision of university scientists and specialists on the UTK campus. The conference will provide a variety of rewarding and fun-filled experiences including classroom, outdoor, and laboratory settings.

Youth are selected to attend based on their 4-H project area and application. Delegates may only attend in a project area once. Projects are: beef, citizenship, communication/public speaking, companion animals, computers & technology, consumer education, creative arts & design, dairy cattle, entrepreneurship, food science/dairy foods, forestry/wildlife/fisheries, goat, horticulture/gardening, horse, nutrition/health/fitness, outdoor recreation/shooting sports, performing arts, poultry, sheep, swine.

Must submit an application and be selected based on 4-H project area.
